30E is, as you can tell by her name, out of our old 809 Dotty cow.
Dotty and her mother, 309, are the oldest cow family in our herd,
with a long history of top milk production. 309's milk EPD was 32
after 9 calves. 30E was sired by JR BigT Y53 Superstar C48, a Network
son out of Rice's "Charity" cow, who was the highest milking
cow in the Rice herd and the 1993 Denver Champion female.
JR BigT Y168 Chastity A98
30E is not the flashiest female in the herd but she combines the
best of both sides of her pedigree. She has a beautiful udder, milks
extremely well and every year is problem free while raising a big
heavy calf.
Last year's heifer is one we have kept for our replacements and
this year she has another stout heifer out of our Homerun bull.
30E and 13K
Udder quality, milk production and weaning performance
with consistent fertility make this cow one of Quick Mill Farms'
top 10.
