| 01G is a young cow sired by Optimum
9324, a bull that combines MSU Optimum Z03 with Gary Witherspoon's
high milking cow, Miss Nizhoni PRO5. Her dam is Miss S Nizhoni 901,
dam of the famous 9401, who is the dam of such bulls as Decathlete,
Fortress, Elixir and Headliner. The genetics in this cow are incredible
and so far she is living up her pedigree expectations. Individually,
she had the highest yearling weight, 1138#, of any heifer raised at
QMF and a mature weight of 1600#. Additionally, she has some of the
best ultrasound characteristics in our herd and ranks in the top 200
cows for yearling weight EPD's.
01G's first calf has also performed very well, rationing 108 for weaning, 109 for yearling, and yearling weight of 1357.
