QMF 39G KEYSTONE 12K

12K Yearling
12K Yearling

Keystone is an interesting bull in that he had a 70 pound birth weight and very good weaning and yearling performance. He was sired by QMF 223 Lydias Max 39G, a bull that combined a top Rice donor cow, JR Lydia T142, with a Witherspoon foundation sire, 501S Max 223. Max was a well marked, smaller framed, low birth weight bull that we have used on our heifers. Keystone’s dam, QMF 9T Bev 44G, was one of these heifers. 44G and her dam,13T, are both in our Top 10 and straight out of the best of Blue Jacket Hereford breeding. They are big bodied good uddered females with a lot of performance. Keystone 12K combines these cow formulas in a way that gives a large spread from low birth weight to high yearling performance and produces an attractive package.

We have used him on most of our heifers and a few of our cows. He should be the type of bull to produce a good spread on performance (low birth weight to high yearling weight), but will also produce good uddered, good milking females and add pigmentation. If this is what you are searching for you may want to give him a try.
